    His father name is Charlie Nicklaus and mother name is Helen Nicklaus. He grew up in the well-to-do suburb of Upper Arlington and attended ‘Upper Arlington High School.’ He played basketball, baseball, and tennis throughout high school.
    A child prodigy, he started playing golf at ten and by the time he was 12, he had won the ‘Ohio Junior State Championship.’ At 14, he had won the ‘Tri-State High School Championship.’

    He attended Ohio State University. He majored in Pre-Pharmacy and insurance and graduated from there in 1961. He played golf there for most of his time. Consequently, he won several titles there.

    He started playing golf from a young age and was the winner of the International Jaycee Junior Golf Tournament in 1957. At the age of 19, he went on to win Woodhill Country Club and Prairie Dunes Country Club. While still in college, he twice won the U.S. Amateur and also the NCAA Championship. He won the 1959 and 1961 Walker Cup and won both the events by representing the USA. In 1962, he started his professional PGA Tour. His first professional victory was in the U.S. Open in 1962. Nicklaus then went on to win the Portland Open and Seattle Open.

    In 1963, he won the PGA Championships and also the Masters. He became the first consecutive winner of the Masters’ event in 1965 and 1966. In 1971, he became the first player to win all the four majors two times in his career. In 1980, Jack Nicklaus won his 4th U.S. Open title and his fifth PGA Championship. At the age of 46, he won his 6th Masters in 1986. In 1990, he started to play on the Senior PGA Tour. He has won all the seven Senior Majors in his career.

    In 1986, he recorded one of the major victories of his career when he won his sixth ‘Masters Tournament,’ a match where he scored six birdies and an eagle.
    In 1990, he won the ‘Senior Players Championship,’ where he defeated Lee Trevino by six shots. In 1993, he defeated Tom Weiskopf at the ‘U.S. Senior Open Tournament.’ He also won the ‘Wendy's Three Tour Challenge’ that year. In 2000, he played his final ‘U.S Open’ at the ‘Pebble Beach Golf Links,’ California. Later that year, he paired with Tiger woods and Vijay Singh for the last ‘PGA Championship’ tournament of his career.
    In 2005, he played the last tournament of his professional career at the ‘U.S Open Championship’ at ‘St Andrews Golf Course,’ Scotland, where he received a standing ovation. That year, he also played his final ‘Masters Tournament.’
